Brynley Arnold, a social media influencer, is sharing details about her recent medical experience.
On February 17, Brynley revealed in a TikTok video that she had breast augmentation surgery. This happened about a month after her older sister, Lindsay Arnold, also had the same procedure.
In a TikTok “Get Ready With Me” video that included a full-face makeup session, Brynley talked about why she decided to have the surgery, what it was like, and how she felt five days after the operation. “I think yesterday and the day before were the most painful days for me. But today is much better,” she said at the start of the video. She also mentioned that her breasts felt “tight” because of the steri-strips and clips that added pressure after the surgery.
The internet star then explained the specific procedure she had. “I got a breast augmentation and lift,” she said. She shared that she chose 380cc implants and went for the subfascial augmentation, which places the implants above the muscle. “I already love how they look!” she exclaimed about her breasts a few days after the surgery.
Brynley remembered that the surgery lasted about two hours. “I remember getting some medicine and falling asleep. Then the next thing I knew, I woke up and my husband, Donny McGinnis, was there,” she said. She got married to Donny in October 2020.
“Being under anesthesia was a new experience for me, and it was kind of strange,” she added. “But when I woke up from the anesthesia, I didn’t have any problems. I was sleepy and tired, but I wasn’t nauseous, which I was worried about. That made it easier for me to go home.”
Regarding the pain, Brynley said she didn’t feel any pain on the day of the surgery. Later that night, she just felt uncomfortable because she had to sleep propped up and had bandages on her. “I probably didn’t feel pain until the next morning. I was good at taking my Tylenol and anti-inflammatory medicine, so the pain hasn’t been too bad. I’m really grateful for that,” she said.
Even though the surgery went smoothly with little pain, Brynley pointed out one difficult part of the recovery. “The hardest thing during the recovery is that I can’t lift things,” she said. “As you can see, I can move my arms, and my mobility is getting better every day. But I can’t lift my daughter Quincy or my son Rez.” Quincy was born in August 2022, and Rez was born in May 2024.
“They say I can’t lift anything for the first week. We’ll see what happens next week, and I’ll talk to my surgeon about it. That’s been the toughest part,” Brynley said. She’s thankful that her mother-in-law is staying with her, and her husband has been very helpful too.
Later in the video, Brynley explained why she wanted to have the breast surgery. “After having Rez, I was still in the postpartum period. I always knew I wanted to get a boob job because I wasn’t born with big breasts. And after I was pregnant with Quincy and breastfed her, I really wanted to go through with it,” she said.
But Brynley said she wanted to wait until she was done having children before getting the surgery. “After having Rez, I thought, ‘I want to do it now,’ ” she recalled.
Brynley made it clear that she and her husband aren’t done having kids yet. “I talked to my surgeon about it. My goal is to breastfeed my future children. I still plan to have more kids and breastfeed them,” she added.
Noting that her sister from “Dancing With the Stars” had the surgery before her, Brynley guessed what her followers were thinking. “A lot of you might be wondering, ‘Why are both of you getting the surgery? Are all the sisters going to get it? ‘ ” she said. “Honestly, I would highly recommend getting plastic surgery with your sister. It’s been great! I love being able to relate to her experience. It’s been really fun.”
Brynley ended by saying, “And we’ll both be really happy once we’re fully healed.”
