Taryn Terrell shared her experience this week. She’s now saying goodbye to her breast implants. Her implants were recalled because there’s a known connection to BIA-ALCL, which is breast implant lymphoma. For years, she has been dealing with symptoms like chronic fatigue and joint pain, along with other signs of breast implant illness. That’s why she decided that the implants had to be removed.
She had been thinking about getting rid of the implants for a long time. This was especially while she was fighting Hashimoto’s disease, which she had developed. In the past couple of years, she made big changes to her diet. She hoped that by doing so, she could start feeling like a normal person again. She’s not sure if she’ll ever have a normal level of energy, but she’s really making a strong effort.
Taryn needs a huge amount of sleep. On average, she sleeps 12 to 14 hours a day. If she only gets 8 to 10 hours of sleep, she still has to take a nap. And no matter what she does, she always feels tired. She’s praying that removing the implants will make her feel better.
The surgery to remove the implants went well. She chose to have some extra nerve block medication, so the pain has been very low. She’s just feeling a bit sore.
She’s happy that the implants are finally out. Last night, she had quite bad back pain, but it was because the ace bandage wrapped around her was too tight. Her husband, sister, and kids have been really amazing during this time. Her husband, Joe, is the most caring person when it comes to taking care of her!
