Boney Kapoor, a well-known film producer, recently underwent a hair transplant. After the procedure, he held a press conference for Eugenix Hair Sciences. At the conference, he encouraged others to consider getting a hair transplant, saying it was harmless as long as it was done under the supervision of doctors.
During his talk with the media, Boney opened up about different parts of his life. He also revealed that his late wife, Sridevi, wanted him to focus on losing weight first and wasn’t keen on him getting a hair transplant.
Boney explained the reason he had put off the hair transplant. He said, “My wife Sri used to tell me, ‘Boney, first lose weight, and then you can deal with your hair.’ Later, some people told me that bald people are often lucky.
They gave the example of Yash Chopra and said, ‘Look, Yash Chopra is bald but very wealthy.’ So, I believed them and stayed bald for quite a while. Finally, one day, I decided to get a hair transplant. In just three days, they planted nearly 6,000 hairs.”
Boney also added, “After seeing the results, I even recommended it to Akshaye Khanna. People are usually afraid of the pain, but trust me, it’s not that bad.” He shared that before getting the hair transplant, he had lost 14 kilograms. He said, “While thinking about the procedure, I remembered my wife’s advice. She wanted me to lose weight before the hair transplant, so I went on a diet and lost about 14 kgs. Now, I’m in better shape. Exercising is difficult for me, but after losing some weight, I went to the doctor for the hair transplant.”
During the conversation, Boney made a joke about his wife being against the hair transplant and shared that he now knew why. “Sri was skeptical about the hair transplant. Just today, I talked to my daughter about it and asked her, ‘Why was your mom against my hair transplant?’ She said, ‘She thought you’d become better looking after it.’ This was a secret until now,” Boney Kapoor said.
