According to a report from The New York Post, a well-known plastic surgeon in the United States, Dr. David Pincus, is facing many accusations of improper behavior. These include doing an unauthorized vaginal enhancement procedure, acting inappropriately with a staff member, and making the staff member call him “Daddy”.
Last year, several lawsuits were filed against Dr. Pincus. They also accuse him of having questionable medical practices. For example, he is said to have neglected a post-operative wound, which led to necrosis. Dr. Pincus lives in a mansion worth nearly $3 million near his office in Smithtown and owns a $300,000 Lamborghini Evo Spyder. He has been named in three different lawsuits with very disturbing accusations.
Jacyln Riker, a former employee and one of the people suing him, told The Post, “It’s so sick and so crazy that I lived through that.”
Riker, a former staff member, said that Dr. Pincus often grabbed her breasts, lifted her skirt to show her underwear, and made her sit on his lap. She said that after he did a breast augmentation on her, he told her, “I can touch them whenever I want. I created you, and I own you.” The lawsuit also says he often told her to call him “daddy” and had inappropriate physical contact with her.
Vanessa Soda, another patient of Dr. Pincus, claims that during a tummy tuck operation in 2021, she had an unauthorized procedure done. Her lawsuit says that the doctor later told her he had done a vaginal lift, and he allegedly said her vagina was “very low” and needed to be lifted.
Ms. Soda was shocked and confused. She said she had never talked about her vagina with Dr. Pincus before the operation and didn’t know there were any issues. She chose Pincus because of his five-star online ratings, but her experience made her disappointed.
Not only did he do an unauthorized surgical procedure on her genitals, but he also sexually harassed her. Her legal complaint says that Dr. Pincus made inappropriate comments about her body, like saying it was “great to see her boobs again.” Also, Ms. Soda says Dr. Pincus sexually harassed her during their first meeting.
In 2020, there was a lawsuit against Dr. Pincus that has been settled. It accused him of sexual harassment. The claims said he interacted inappropriately with a 15-year-old intern and called her “so hot.”
There is another active lawsuit filed in 2024 by a patient named Michelle Armstrong. Ms. Armstrong says that Dr. Pincus didn’t treat an infection she got after a breast reduction surgery in 2022 properly. Her lawyer, Brad Kauffman, said that Ms. Armstrong had clear signs of infection, and it got worse over several days because Dr. Pincus and his office didn’t give her timely medical attention.
As a result, she was diagnosed with severe sepsis, abscesses, pulmonary embolisms, leukocytosis, and necrosis. She had to have multiple emergency surgeries to drain fluid from abscesses and graft skin from her thigh to her breasts. Dr. Pincus has said he is not responsible and that the infections had nothing to do with his work.
Dr. Pincus’ attorney, John Carman, said the lawsuit filed by Riker is “baseless and frivolous” and thinks it’s just a way to get money. He said, “Dr. Pincus is determined to wage a punishing defense against this bad faith attempt to tarnish his hard-earned reputation – without compromise.” He also added that 14 witnesses are ready to testify against Ms. Riker, saying that she talked openly about her personal life, including having extramarital affairs, in the office.
