New Trends In Medical Beauty: Hatef Acquires Eads Clinic To Expand The Range Of Medical Beauty Services

by Amelia

Dr. Dan Hatef, a plastic surgeon in Nashville and owner of Hatef Aesthetics, expanded his practice with the acquisition of Edds Cosmetic Surgery in Owensboro. The acquisition marks his second clinic, with plans to open a third later this year.

Edds Cosmetic Surgery was founded by Dr. Jerry Edds. Dr. Eads opened the practice in the 1980s after completing an otolaryngology residency at the University of South Carolina. Known for his reputation for excellence and focus on patient care, Dr. Edzi built a successful practice over nearly 40 years before selling it, Hartev said. A friend introduced Hartev to the acquisition opportunity, describing Dr. Eads as “a very nice man with an excellent practice and a good reputation.” Despite Harteff’s busy schedule in Nashville, he was intrigued by the opportunity.

“After hearing about it, I wanted to know more,” Ms. Harteff said. “I came to Owensboro, and my son and I fell in love with it. I was impressed by the people, the charm of the town and the staff.”

Now, Harteff spends three days a month in Owensboro, performing outpatient procedures at the clinic while referring more complex procedures to his practice in Nashville. The local staff remained in place, and Hartev introduced a full-fledged medical beauty center model, similar to his Nashville clinic, to expand the range of services.

“Our medical beauty center focuses on non-invasive treatments such as Botox, fillers and skin care,” says Hartev, “which are good options for facial rejuvenation for patients who are not ready for surgery.” For me, the most important thing is to ensure that patients have healthy, glowing skin to achieve their aesthetic goals.”

Harteff credits his team for making the post-acquisition transition smooth, including Amber, who does injections, and Brennan, who provides facials, laser treatments, and skin care services. The two work four days a week at the Owensboro clinic.

In addition to cosmetic treatments, Hartev underwent reconstructive surgery.

“Some procedures, such as body shaping after significant weight loss, address medical issues such as hygiene and comfort as well as aesthetic results,” he said. “We also deal with skin cancer reconstructions, nasal bone fractures and so on.”

Originally from Washington, D.C., Harteff attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine before completing residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He has been practicing medicine in Nashville for 10 years.

With the Owensboro clinic on track, Harteff is confident about the future.

“Dr. Eads’ reputation and the charm of Owensboro are my main motivations for expanding here,” said Harteff, “and I’m looking forward to seeing how we grow and serve the community.”
