by Amelia

On February 4, 2025, in Little Rock, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is inviting the public to an open house at its new off – campus plastic surgery clinic. The event will take place on February 13.

The Open House of the UAMS Health Plastic Surgery Clinic will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Freeway Medical Tower, located at 5800 W. 10th St.

Providers, UAMS employees, building tenants, and community members are all welcome to drop by. At the event, they can enjoy some refreshments, take a tour of the facility, meet the providers and staff, learn about the introductory pricing for cosmetic treatments, and have the chance to enter various giveaways.

The UAMS Health Plastic Surgery Clinic moved into the Freeway Building on December 18, 2024. This move integrated the plastic and reconstructive surgery services at UAMS with the aesthetic and cosmetic services that were previously provided at a clinic in west Little Rock.

Plastic surgeons David Sterling, M.D.; Keith G. Wolter, M.D., Ph.D.; and James C. Yuen, M.D., along with other team members, will be present at the Open House.

The clinic offers a wide range of services, both reconstructive and cosmetic. Its team is the largest group of plastic surgeons providing breast cancer reconstruction in the state.

Cosmetic services include, but are not limited to, face and neck lift, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, breast lift or reduction, body contouring (abdominoplasty, arm lift, thigh lift, body lift), fat grafting, and liposuction. The clinic also provides non – surgical treatments such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, and medical – grade skin care products.

UAMS is the state’s only health sciences university. It has colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Professions, and Public Health, a graduate school, a hospital, a main campus in Little Rock, a Northwest Arkansas regional campus in Fayetteville, a statewide network of regional campuses, and eight institutes: the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute, Harvey & Bernice Jones Eye Institute, Psychiatric Research Institute, Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging, Translational Research Institute, Institute for Digital Health & Innovation, and the Institute for Community Health Innovation. UAMS includes UAMS Health, a statewide health system covering all of UAMS’ clinical operations. UAMS is the only adult Level 1 trauma center in the state. It has 3,485 students, 915 medical residents and fellows, and seven dental residents. It is the state’s largest public employer with over 11,000 employees, including 1,200 physicians who offer care to patients at UAMS, its regional campuses, Arkansas Children’s, the VA Medical Center, and Baptist Health.
