Meredith Marks, star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, has opened up about a “weird” medical condition that has led her to undergo her third breast reduction surgery. In an interview on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, released on September 13, the 52-year-old Marks detailed her ongoing struggle with excessive breast tissue growth.
“My breast tissue doesn’t stop growing!” Marks exclaimed, expressing frustration over her condition. “It’s wild. Seriously, I have this weird issue and I’m hoping this is [my final breast reduction]. I never wanted to be that big. I was always supposed to be a small C.”
Marks did not specify the exact medical reasons behind her condition but suggested that it might be related to hormonal changes. She mentioned that if her breast tissue continued to grow, she might have to consider a fourth surgery. “Unless I want to look matronly,” she said, adding, “So yes, if I have to, I will. Clothes are fitting better now. When you have to go up two sizes to accommodate your chest, nothing sits right. It’s just not good.”
Marks has addressed speculation about cosmetic surgery in the past. In a December 2020 Instagram Story, she clarified that while she had not undergone facial plastic surgery, she had used Botox. “I do like a little bit of Botox,” she said, explaining that she prefers to maintain natural facial movements. She also expressed that she is “not a fan of filler.”
As Real Housewives of Salt Lake City prepares to launch its fifth season on September 18, Marks is enthusiastic about what’s to come. “I think it’s our best season ever and so do our producers and the whole team,” she told Us Weekly in June. “It’s going to be amazing.”
