In a recent interview with an Australian newspaper, actress Noomi Rapace revealed that she considered undergoing cosmetic surgery to enhance her appearance for a forthcoming film role. Rapace, renowned for her role in ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, shared her thoughts on getting breast implants to fit the character’s description of being blonde, blue-eyed, and having a fuller bust.
“I’m doing this movie later on, where I’m supposed to be blonde and blue-eyed with pretty big boobies,” Rapace said. “I was thinking about putting in fake tits—because so many actresses do it, although not for a specific role.”
Rapace disclosed that she went to a clinic, met with a doctor, and conducted extensive research on the procedure. Despite her initial consideration, the actress ultimately decided against surgery due to the significant physical toll and the need for subsequent removal for her next role.
“It’s a big procedure—it’s quite painful, and then I’d need to take them out again for the part I’m doing afterwards,” Rapace explained. “So although I’m not afraid of pushing it, I don’t want to do surgery. Probably.”
Rapace’s commitment to her craft is evident, yet her decision underscores the lengths to which actors often consider going for authenticity while balancing the impact on their health and future roles.
