After Bette Midler was criticized for her looks, the 77-year-old admitted that she had plastic surgery.
Midler admitted that she had plastic surgery when the “Tangled” star accepted the Outstanding Collaborator Award at the annual Costume Designers Guild Awards.
“Time calms things down,” Midler commented, according to Page Six.
“I’ve been doing it for almost 60 years… I do look great; I know… I do have some touch-ups to my face.”
Her celebrity friends also attended the gala, including Cate Blanchett, Angela Bassett and Christina Ricci, who received the “Spotlight Award.” “Elvis” star Austin Butler was also in attendance.
Although Midler spoke candidly about her plastic surgery, she has previously admitted that she has considered getting the procedure.
In 2008, the actress told Extra that she was considering getting a job.
“Doesn’t everyone consider that?” she said.
“When it really starts to sink in, I might start to think about it.”
Many people may know Midler from her famous role in the hit 1993 Halloween movie, Trolls.

She co-starred as the Sanderson sisters alongside Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker. The sequel to the film will be released on Disney+ in September 2022.
The sequel is set nearly 30 years after the original film, and features the return of three famous actors, Midler, Najimy and Parker. However, the first film’s main characters Omri Katz, Vanessa Shaw and Thora Birch are not involved.
According to the film’s director Anne Fletcher, the reason for their absence is that the characters do not fit the plot of the new film.
