Anne Hathaway’s complexion is much smoother than it was six months ago, sparking rumors that she’s had something done to her face.
The 42-year-old Oscar winner debuted her new look in the front row of Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2025 show at the Jack Scheinman Gallery in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood on Thursday.
Anne hired makeup artist Kristopher Buckle to apply false eyelashes and perfect her tight features. Last November, another of Christopher Buckle’s celebrity clients, Lindsay Lohan, also sparked plastic surgery rumors.
For the fashion celebration, hairstylist Orlando Pita pulled Hathaway’s hair into a very tight ponytail, which may have also served as some kind of facelift.
Even when the “The Idea of You” producer star laughed, there wasn’t a wrinkle on her forehead.
In 2023, Dr. Gary Motykie told MailOnline that he had “no doubt she’s had a nose job” because it looked like the former child star had improved the tip of her nose with a delicate rhinoplasty.
“You’ll see it goes from a slightly sunken, bulbous tip and a wide bridge to a more defined, thinner bridge, thinner tip, more prominent tip. That’s the first sign of a nose job,” the 53-year-old plastic surgeon speculated.
We also see that the signs of natural thinness and baby fat in her face are disappearing, but she does look better maintained. So again, I doubt fillers, Botox, microneedling and skin tightening are just a way to maintain your skin.
Back in 2008, Anne denied ever having plastic surgery, but confessed: “When I was growing up, I wanted to have a nose job because I didn’t think my nose was pretty.”
“If you want to be an actress, your face needs to have personality, otherwise it’s just a face,” Hathaway explained.
The Emmy winner currently has at least eight upcoming acting projects, including the highly anticipated follow-ups to The Princess Diaries and The Devil Wears Prada.
On April 7, Anne played writer Verity Crawford in Michael Showalter’s big-screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2018 thriller Verity, which Amazon Studios will release in theaters on May 15, 2026.
Hathaway is rumored to play Penelope, Queen of Ithaca, wife of Odysseus (Matt Damon) in Christopher Nolan’s $250 million big-screen adaptation of Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey, with principal photography officially beginning on February 25.
Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o will also star in the Universal Pictures film, which is set to hit IMAX theaters on July 17, 2026.
Other upcoming films for the Brooklyn native include David Lowery’s period drama Mary Janes, David Robert Mitchell’s sci-fi film Flower Valley Street, Jonathan Tropper’s untitled action-comedy, and James Gray’s crime thriller Paper Tigers.
On the personal front, Anne has been married to Adam Shulman, co-founder of James Banks Design, for 12 years and has two sons – Jonathan, 8, and Jack, 5.
