Jimmy Carr has become the latest TV star to confess that he has altered his appearance. He resorted to cosmetic surgery during a “serious midlife crisis.”
The 52 – year – old comedian spent 12 weeks at a clinic to get new teeth. He has also had a hair transplant. However, Jimmy believes he might have “gone a bit overboard” with the procedures. He told The Telegraph, “I got new teeth and new hair. I had a real midlife crisis. I was like, ‘Okay, let’s get everything fixed.’”
Besides getting a new set of teeth and improving his hair, the host of ‘8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’ has also had Botox. Botox is a method used to temporarily enhance people’s looks and reduce signs of aging. Jimmy humorously compared maintaining his appearance to the myth about Scotland’s Forth Bridge, which is said to need constant repainting. He joked, “Goodness, I’m like the Forth Bridge – it never ends…
“Maintaining is the key. I don’t think there’s any plastic surgery or augmentation that can make you look better. All you can do is stay the same, and that’s all you can hope for.” The star made these remarks while fronting the six – part Amazon Prime series ‘Last One Laughing UK’.
In this show, comedians like 36 – year – old Joe Lycett, 44 – year – old Judi Love, and 38 – year – old Daisy May Cooper are all stuck in a house together. They are challenged not to laugh. If they can’t keep a straight face, they get a yellow card. And if they fail twice, they receive a red card.
