Ariana Grande wants to put an end to the plastic surgery rumors surrounding her and she’s willing to officially state her side of the story. The singer shared her thoughts while promoting her film “Wicked.” She sat down with her co-star Cynthia Erivo for a lie detector test conducted by Vanity Fair.
The questions during the test covered various aspects of her career and personal beliefs. But Grande seemed especially excited to finally prove that she hasn’t had any plastic surgery in recent years.
During the lie detector interview, Grande faced a lot of questions about plastic surgery. Erivo asked if she had ever had a nose job, breast enhancement, face lift, fox eye lift, or chin implant. Grande said she hadn’t had any of those procedures. The person monitoring the polygraph confirmed that she was telling the truth.
Grande said, “I used to have fillers in different parts of my face and Botox, but I stopped about four years ago. That’s all there is to it.”
Since her Nickelodeon show “Victorious” premiered in 2010, Grande has changed a lot in appearance. With her small frame and well-defined features, many people on the internet have accused her of secretly getting plastic surgery. She’s now among the celebrities like Millie Bobby Brown and Tom Cruise who have fought against such rumors.
In 2023, Ariana Grande got emotional in a Vogue video while talking about her relationship with her image. She said that in the past, she used to enhance her looks with bigger hair or thicker eyeliner as a way to hide.
During the Vanity Fair interview, Grande was happy to have the chance to clear up the plastic surgery rumors. But she also supported those who choose to have plastic surgery. She said, “I fully support everyone who decides to have these procedures. Whatever makes women, men, and people who don’t conform to traditional genders feel beautiful should be allowed.”
Grande has been in the public eye for over a decade. In the Vogue video, she also talked about how her view of beauty has changed over the years, especially since people commented on her appearance when she was young. She continued, “Our relationships with beauty are so personal. We’re discussing beauty secrets, but isn’t the real secret that we all just want to feel our best and be loved?”
