Renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Sean McNally gave the Daily Express an exclusive insight into country music superstar Carrie Underwood’s visibly changing face.
The expert who once unraveled the secrets behind Melania Trump’s “tight” look, Dr McNally revealed what may have caused Underwood’s “facial change”, which has been the subject of much discussion among fans.
‘First of all, it’s important to note that she had an accident in 2017,’ Dr McNally revealed. That’s a reference to the unfortunate fall that led the future “American Idol” judge to undergo facial reconstruction surgery. After the fall, she was left with a scar on her face extending from her left nostril to her upper lip, which took “40 to 50 stitches” to repair.
Recently, Underwood’s appearance has been the subject of some heated discussion, especially after she performed at Donald Trump’s second inauguration on Jan. 20. In addition, according to the American Express, video has emerged of the singer avoiding a handshake with Kamala Harris. However, Dr McNally poured cold water on any speculation that she had undergone major cosmetic surgery, as he found no obvious signs of extensive cosmetic surgery.
He elaborated on his assessment: “Comparing the before and after photos, I don’t see any definitive evidence of surgical intervention other than the facial reconstructive surgery she was referring to.”
Noticeable changes can be seen around her eyes and lips, but Dr McNally believes: “She looks quite different around her eyes and lips, but this could be a simple injection of lip fillers and improved make-up.” Dr McNally endorsed the ‘less is more’ philosophy and credited the star’s ageing appearance with non-surgical methods and a rigorous skin care regimen.
He further commented, “I have no doubt that she, like everyone else in Hollywood and the music industry, adheres to a good skin care regimen and uses non-invasive or minimally invasive treatments to slow down the aging process.”
“But a major surgery like a facelift or a nose job? I don’t think she did.” The plastic surgeon told Express.
