Tori Spelling had an embarrassing wardrobe mishap that she just can’t forget.
Tori Spelling is 51 years old and was on the show Beverly Hills, 90210. On the March 3 episode of the MissSPELLING podcast, she shared a story. When she was 19 and had just gotten breast implants, she had a “nip slip situation” at an awards show.
Spelling said, “It was either the Billboard Music Awards or the American Music Awards.” At that time, she had platinum hair with corkscrew curls, like Drew Barrymore. She had thin eyebrows and big, dark lips. And she was styled for the event.
Spelling was a presenter at the awards show. She remembered that her outfit was light blue, shimmery, and see-through. It was almost like a suit with a kind of blouse.
She said, “Back then, I loved tight dresses. I was trying something new. But we didn’t think about the fact that it was see-through.” She also recalled doing the press. When the camera flashes went off, she heard people chatting. She thought, “What are they looking at?” She could hear people saying, “Oh my god.” Then her publicist came quickly and whispered to her. The publicist took her away. Spelling said, “I don’t think I wore a bra, and back then, there were no nip cover-ups. So people could probably see it clearly.”
Spelling got breast implants just before the show, so her breasts were very perky. She explained that her top was cut in a way that when she turned, people could see the whole side of her breast. Her publicist had to adjust her clothes to stop more slip-ups.
It turned out that the show was the American Music Awards, and Spelling was wearing a two-piece set that was really revealing. Since her first breast implants, Spelling has had them done multiple times. In June 2024, on her podcast, she said, “I think they’re okay now. I wanted to make them smaller when I got them redone. Looking back at the 1990s, I liked my boobs then. I wish I had just kept them.”
In her latest podcast episode, Spelling said that now she much prefers to watch award shows at home. She said, “Before I had kids, I used to go to award shows and get all dressed up. I even went to afterparties. But now I have parties at home and watch award shows on TV with my friends.”
Spelling also likes to comment on other stars’ fashion mistakes on the red carpet. She said, “I look on social media and find out who won. That’s it for me.”
