A remarkable plastic surgery transformation has left social media users astounded. A Colombian man’s face has been so transformed that it appears as if 20 years have been taken off his age. Social media users are calling it the ‘glow – up of the century’.
A clinic posted a clip on TikTok showing the before – and – after images of the patient. This video has amassed over 1 million views and more than 12,000 comments. The images display subtle yet significant changes to various parts of the man’s face. His jawline and cheekbones now look more defined and slender.
The doctor behind this cosmetic work, Dr Cami Martínez, says the man underwent what she terms a ‘Baby Face Procedure with Facial Masculinisation’. This involves a set of treatments. These include injectables and fat removal. The aim is to tighten the angles of the face and create the appearance of a more distinct bone structure.
In the video, Dr Martínez reveals that the unnamed man had procedures on multiple facial features. These features are his chin, neck, nose, cheeks, and eyelids.
Social media users were quick to shower praise on the results. One user wrote, ‘He went from 42 to 24.’ Another added, ‘A 50 + – year – old into a 19 – year – old, that’s pure magic.’ Some users even said the change was so extreme that it seemed like the man had a completely different identity. One user commented, ‘We ain’t ugly! Just broke.’
Some users also made light – hearted jokes. One wrote, ‘His baby momma gone be mad when them kids get older.’ Another quipped, ‘How scary! Imagine marrying someone like this and your kids turn out to you like the one before.’
Dr Martínez was inundated with men asking for more details on booking a similar procedure. One person wrote, ‘I’m asking for an appointment right now.’ Another said, ‘When you come to New York, oh my god.’
What exactly a baby face procedure includes depends on the patient. Generally, the goal is to remove features typical of younger people, like chubby cheeks. In practice, this may involve removing buccal fat (the fat in our lower cheeks). It can also include using dermal fillers and/or a facelift to make the jawline more prominent.
Facial masculinisation surgery can vary. It may include a nose job, as well as using fillers or implants to give more masculine features to the jaw, chin, and cheeks.
The cost of these procedures depends on how much work is needed. In some UK clinics, facial masculinisation using only fillers is advertised to start at £3,500. Men who choose fillers will need to have repeat treatments approximately every three to six months to keep their new look. In most cases, surgery and implants are permanent.
