Denise Richards opened up about a surprising mishap that occurred while filming the third season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. The 53-year-old actress and reality star revealed that she “ruptured” her breast implants during one of the physically demanding challenges on the show.
During a Friday appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Richards recounted the incident. “I fell, well, I jumped off a bridge, too, and that’s when I ruptured my implants off of that thing,” she explained. Richards was wearing a harness at the time, which she believes caused the damage. Both of her implants were affected in the fall.
Despite the mishap, Richards hasn’t yet had the implants repaired. “I was supposed to a month ago, but couldn’t because we were filming,” she shared. “So, yeah, no, I still have to get them redone.”
Richards confirmed that she would be covering the cost of the surgery herself, humorously adding, “I think we pretty much signed our life away doing that show… It’s dangerous.”
This isn’t the first time Richards has spoken candidly about her breast augmentation. Back in 2011, she admitted that she regretted getting the procedure done at the age of 19. Despite the long-term complications and her past regrets, it seems Richards is taking her time in deciding how to address the ruptured implants.
As for her time on Special Forces, Richards, known for her stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is no stranger to challenges. Her physical endurance was put to the test on the show, and while she’s now dealing with the aftermath, Richards continues to take it all in stride.
