Did Melania Trump Undergo a Secret $50,000 Facelift?

Speculation surrounding Melania Trump’s youthful appearance has intensified following the release of her memoir, Melania, on October 8. The former First Lady, 54, and wife of former President Donald Trump, 78, has long been noted for her high cheekbones, full lips, and smooth complexion, leading many to question whether she has resorted to cosmetic surgery.

Despite the rumors, Melania has consistently denied having undergone any plastic surgery. However, Dr. Gary Linkov, a prominent plastic surgeon based in New York, estimates that she may have spent approximately $203,000 (£155,335) on various procedures, including a possible $50,000 (£38,260) facelift. In a YouTube video that has garnered over 350,000 views, Dr. Linkov outlines a series of potential cosmetic enhancements she may have received, including a nose job, fillers, Botox, cheek implants, and possibly a facelift.

Analyzing Melania’s transformation over the years, Dr. Linkov began by referencing a photo from 1987, when she was just 17 years old. He noted her full eyebrows, almond-shaped eyes, and a naturally rounded nose, emphasizing her strong cheekbones as a defining feature.

When comparing images from when Melania was 28, Dr. Linkov observed that the tip of her nose appeared less bulbous and the dorsal lump on the bridge had become less prominent, indicating the possibility of a nose job around 1998. Furthermore, an image of her at 29 suggested that her lips appeared fuller. Since FDA approval for fillers came in 2003, Dr. Linkov speculated she might have used collagen or microdroplet silicone at that time.

By 2004, when she was 34, her cheeks appeared fuller. Dr. Linkov raised the question of cheek implants, noting the remarkable symmetry and projection of her cheeks, which he believes may not have been achieved solely through fillers.

He also highlighted changes in her eye appearance at age 37, suggesting that a brow lift could have contributed to a more pronounced “cat eye” effect. Around this time, he suspects she began using Botox for her forehead and crow’s feet. A subsequent image of Melania at 38 showed even smaller eyes, which Dr. Linkov attributed to the weight of her brows, potentially caused by excessive Botox injections.

By 2012, at 42, early signs of jowling began to appear, a natural consequence of aging. Two years later, in 2014, Dr. Linkov noted that she seemed to have more forehead wrinkles and larger eyes, possibly due to a reduction in Botox usage. In images taken at 49, general signs of aging were visible, including loss of neck skin elasticity and downturned lip corners.

However, a more youthful neck and jawline were evident in photos of Melania at 52, which Dr. Linkov attributes to a potential facelift. He also mentioned that her habit of wearing her hair over her ears makes it difficult to assess any signs of surgical scarring or changes to her ears.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Melania has firmly maintained her stance against plastic surgery. In a 2016 interview with GQ, she stated, “I didn’t make any changes. A lot of people say I am using all the procedures for my face. I didn’t do anything. I live a healthy life, I take care of my skin and my body. It’s all me. I will age gracefully, as my mom does.”

In addition, Dr. Gary Motykie, another renowned plastic surgeon, has previously expressed skepticism regarding the need for a facelift. He indicated that while Melania may have had a nose job and used fillers, he estimated her total expenditure on cosmetic enhancements to be around $45,000 to $50,000. “I have noticed a change in her nose. Noses don’t typically get smaller as they get older; they get bigger — but hers is definitely smaller and more defined, so I am very suspicious of at least one rhinoplasty,” he remarked, adding that she likely maintains her appearance with fillers and Botox.
